We're delighted to welcome the brilliant Mat Day for a night of Blues and a preview show of his forthcoming EP, The Mat Day Band - he is an emerging talent in the UK blues scene, gaining recognition as the lead guitarist for award-nominated singer-songwriter and producer Greg Coulson. Mat has been captivating audiences with his electrifying performances at blues clubs and festivals across the country.
Drawing inspiration from legendary musicians like Robben Ford, Matt Schofield, Marcus King, and jazz icons Miles Davis and John Coltrane, Mat infuses his music with a rich blend of blues, jazz, and rock influences. This fusion forms the heartbeat of his sound—dynamic, soulful, and distinctly his own.
The Mat Day Band, featuring the exceptional musicianship of Luke Palmer on bass, Sam Round on drums, and Ben Maxwell on keys, brings a high-energy live show that will captivate listeners from start to finish. Fans are eagerly awaiting the band's debut EP, set to drop on April 6th, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new chapter in Mat's already impressive career.
